I am using an Xppen deco mini7 v2 on windows, pixieditor doesn’t register any input unless it’s set to wintab mode, and then the brush will draw fine, and then occasionally draw a line to where my wired mouse was detected last (other wise, besides weird visual issues while zooming, everything works normally.)
Hey, thanks for the report. I’ll take a look at the line issue. Sometimes on Windows, Ink api works better for some tablets, it’s strange it doesn’t work for you (maybe you have windows ink disabled OS-wise?)
I’m not sure how I could check that esactly, but I don’t have that issue in Gimp (which also requires my tablet be using windows ink.)
spent a few days trying to see if there was anything I could do on my end. I couldn’t find anything really, the only things turned off for Windows Ink (which, doesn’t seem too have a straightforward on/off setup at least on windows 10) was shortcut keys on the pen (i.e using the buttons on the pen to trigger windows commands.) I tried Pixieditor with just the mouse and everything works fine, zooms smoothly, controlls smoothly. But as soon as I go to use either my xp-pen artists pro 15.6 or xppen deco mini7 v2 (which use the same drivers, which are for sure now up to date.) the zooming is stuttery, and almost rubber banding (as if trying to return to the original zoom state with the mouse.) and while drawing the pen will draw fine briefly and then occasionally (far too often for comfort.) connect a line from where I’m drawing to roughly where I had left my mouse before using the pen. I have yet to find any settings on my pc or even in pixieditor that correct my issues (I initially thought the zoom issue was because I was using Vulkan, but using Opengl did not change anything and it wasn’t a problem using the mouse.)
Graphics tablets are generally a headache, some drawing apps like Krita or Gimp have special fixes made for specific devices, it possibly applies to yours as well. I am afraid there is not much I can do to help you, but if you find a solution, let me know
unfortunate, but I understand. If anything comes up, I will let you know.
