The ability to smoothly pan the viewport with two-finger gestures and zoom with a pinch gesture would’ve been nice
(right now, attempting to pan with two fingers like usually done in other apps results in zooming (and even that is jittery and too sensetive to be usable), and panning with gestures is not possible at all)
As an extra/bonus feature, maybe viewport rotation with gestures? (with snapping to prevent accidental rotation)
Oh yeah, currently touch support is basically non-existent. I have this on the list.
Upvoted. I really miss it, especially on macbook which have great pad gestures that we cannot take advantage of 
Two finger panning / pinching to zoom using a trackpad feels very natural when using graphic programs.
At least on Macs, which have a very nice touchpad (not only Macbooks but also desktop Macs and iPad too) it is a standard feature. All other programs I used have panning set to two fingers, even Blender came to its senses and added an option for that for Grease Pencil.
Edit: Not only grpahic programs, for example Godot is also using it for navigation, and it feels natural there too.
(I always get annoyed when people use “that’s how it’s in other software too” but sometimes everyone’s doing it because it’s what makes the most sense 
)
