Swatch Nodes (placeholder colours)

Act as colour nodes but affecting the swatch itself instead of the global colour. Useful in animation for colour tweens, or when you want to have two instances of the same colour be affected by nodes differently. Will also potentially become useful in the event a dedicated gradient tool is created.

Do you mind elaborating a little? I don’t think I understand what do you mean

I don’t really know how to elaborate on this because I’m not really the most adept at explaining what I mean without jargon but I’ll try:

Basically the colour palette equivalent of a variable (ideally done through the swatches menu.)
Any pixel that uses this colour isn’t actually using that colour but the ‘variable’(swatch) instead, and it’s converted into whatever colour it’s set to upon rendering (e.g. When the animation is played, when the image is exported, etc)
The idea being that this swatch could have its own spot in the node graph editor, and be affected as that ‘variable’ rather than through a colour node (which affects all instances of a given colour)
