Minor Nitpicks and Suggestions

I’ve been on the hunt for an alternative to Paint NET for a while now, since I’d like to be able to move off of Windows, and PixiEditor is so close to being a fantastic alternative! I just have three small requests that would make it a much smoother switch for me personally.

  1. A way to disable the Anti-Aliasing of the Painting mode Brush. I am aware that the pixel art brush is essentially exactly this, but for reasons unknown to me, the preview outline of the brush snapping between pixels is really distracting to me, and I’d prefer to have a brush like that but with the smoothly moving circle of the Painting mode Brush.

  2. A slight tweak to the shape of the Pixel Art Circle Brush at low resolutions. I’m not sure how possible this is without affecting the shape elsewhere, but at a size of 10 Pixels, the circle brush’s shape reads as more of a diamond to me. With a very small tweak, the shape can read as far more circular than it does now. I hope this comparison I made illustrates what I mean well.

  3. More shape tools. While the Line, Ellipse, and Rectangle tools are the most commonly used shapes, in my time with using Paint NET I’ve found many more shapes to be useful as well, such as the various speech bubbles, and the Triangle.

These are all very minor nitpicks/suggestions, but I do hope these small tweaks can make their way in some time down the line.
